Vehicle Customizer

What is the Vehicle Customizer?

The Vehicle Customizer is a kiosk found in the Social District. It allows players to customize their vehicles, applying symbols, vehicle kits and change colors. Simply select the vehicle you wish to customize, and then press the ‘Customize’ button on the bottom of the left side module.

Vehicle Parts

Once you’ve pressed the customize button on your selected vehicle, you’ll be thrown into the first tab, Vehicle Parts. The top half of the module will show you the category of part you are changing, and the bottom half will be the individual options you have for that category.

Some vehicle parts are available through progression, some through Joker Tickets, and some through the ARMAS Marketplace.

Paint Colors

Paint colors can be changed for the entire car, or be individually set. You can also tick on the options for Pearlescent and Metallic Paint. You are also given your color palette if you wish to use colors you’ve saved.

The third tab allows you to modify symbols on your selected vehicle. For players without premium, you are restricted to 7 symbols.

Joker Distribution

What is Joker Distribution?

Joker Distribution is a special store in the Social District that allows players to redeem their Joker Tickets for modifications, vehicle kits, and weapon leases. Joker Tickets are earned in Fight Club, completing Daily Activities, and are present in certain Joker Boxes.

Recommendations

If you decide to purchase any Character Modifications, Flak Jacket and Valzipram Tablets are both very useful modifications that can fit in certain player’s playstyles very well.

Flak Jacket

Flak Jacket allows you to endure more punishment from explosive weapons. If you have a low rating on your character and you don’t have access to Clotting Agent, a character modification that allows you to regenerate health faster at the exchange of when the regeneration starts, then Flak Jacket would prove itself useful in increasing your survivability.

Valzipram Tablets

Valzipram Tablets would assist you in surviving oncoming vehicles. At a vehicle’s top speed, these tablets won’t do much. But at mid-to-low speeds, these tablets can render you practically invulnerable to vehicular assault. I will try to run a few tests in the future to try and obtain facts to give a better representation.

Wilde

Wilde offers Weapons, Modifications and Vehicles that are offered in late game progression. These items have no restrictions which would normally exist on the permanent versions of the item. Currently, vehicles are the only permanent items listed, except for one version of the Vegas G20-04 “Firebomb” and the Wildcats Chill Wagon. The duration of all the items from Wilde is 7 days.

Ophelia

Ophelia offers Car Kits, Outfits, Clothing Unlocks, and Titles. All items offered by her are permanent.

Regarding the vehicle kits, make sure to click on the item and view it’s description to make sure it’s compatible with the vehicle you wish to apply it on. To apply your new vehicle kit, head over to the Vehicle Customizer in the Social District.

Gumball

Speedball offers player created content. As an enforcer, I can only see that there’s only 8 items listed for purchase. Four vehicles and four outfits.

Symbol Designer

Symbol Designer

If you’re looking to create a symbol to spray around town, or something to represent your clan, you need to find the Symbol Designer! (You can also create symbols in the Vehicle Customizer kiosk, Wardrobe Editor kiosk, and the Character Editor kiosk.) The only benefit from using exclusively a symbol designer is that you can instantly start designing. With the other kiosks, there is a small loading time.

How do I start creating?

You have four tabs to the box to the left, and they all contain symbols that are available for you to use. Those that aren’t selectable signals that you need to play more of the game to unlock them! The four tabs are Shapes, Decals, Fonts, and Custom Symbols that you’ve made, received, or bought off the marketplace.

How to modify layers?

You have all your layers shown.  The red trash can icon deletes the selected layer, and the duplicate button duplicates the selected layer. Layers are shown in the order they are listed. Layers at the highest of the list will be shown above every other layer, while the lowest layer will be hidden by any other layers listed higher than it. For example, the “Rounded 5-point Star” only partially shows behind the yellow circle because it is on the bottom of the list.

I ran out of layers?

If you don’t have premium, you are unfortunately limited to 25 layers. With premium, you’re allowed to have up to 100 layers in one symbol.

How to change colors?

You have your color palette. The first tab contains predefined cells of colors that are replaceable. You can create colors from mixing colors or using a hex code. To the left of this color palette, you’re able to choose 5 backgrounds. They are, from top to bottom, white, gray, black, light skin, and dark skin.

Can I add effects?

You have a selection of effects that you can add to a layer. You can only have one effect on a single layer.

What are the controls?

You have your designing controls. Hovering over a control will give you a definition and a shortcut that could potentially increase your workflow and make you more productive. Very useful for those who are handy with the designer and looking to make money.

horizontal restricts it to horizontal movement.

scale equal allows you to resize symbols with proportions.

“…Doctor, that’s not the nose…”

Thanks to the unique composition of the citizens and scientific advances in San Paro, you’re eligible for a complete body makeover! As you can see, you’re able to change your hair, face, eyes, body, skin, scars, makeup, tattoos and facial/body hair. Make sure you’ve accomplished enough legitimate/illegitimate activities to increase your bank roll, because procedures are a bit expensive for the financial unstable.

The bottom right will show your invoice, listing the change and the price associated with it. You can remove changes using the red icon with the trash can, but there’s no undo button on it.

Click-n-drag!

With certain categories, you’re able to click and drag the middle of the screen to alter features. Try dragging from left to right or up and down. Some might be limited to either or and some will allow you to modify both directions freely.

Too Many Tattoos?

Are you wondering why the game is giving you a message saying that you have too many tattoos? Basically, you no longer have premium which allowed you the benefits of having extra layers. To be able to do any changes regarding even the physical features of your character, you must delete tattoo layers back to 3.

Stop Character Animation

To stop the character from moving around while editing, press the PAUSE icon to the top right of the screen.

Change Camera

To change the camera, press the three buttons next to the play/pause button.

  • The Head button allows you to zoom in very close to your character’s head. This locks onto your head as the center of rotation. Right clicking allows you to view around the head.
  • The Torso button allows you to pan up and down a character’s body. This one is best used for aligning designs.
  • The last button creates the center of focus near the waist region.

Tattoos look different?

Tattoos are a little bit tricky. It’s somewhat difficult to align them and I’ve had a rare issue where the tattoos won’t show up at all in the game. Also, smaller tattoos might not live up to your expectations because of the pixelation that naturally occurs.
