Steel Plating is a green vehicle modification that reduces damage from weapons by a percentage, depending on the variation of the modification. Because of the additional reinforcement, it also reduces the vehicle’s max speed by a percentage.
“Steel Plates in the vehicle’s chassis greatly reduces the damage caused by weapons fire.”
There are THREE variations of Steel Plating:

This is a good modification in my eyes. It allows you to reduce damage dealt to your vehicle ranging from 10%, 20% and 30% depending on the variation of the modification you have equipped.
It definitely has the advantage of giving your vehicle increased durability, but the lost speed that’s bundled with it might be disadvantageous in certain scenarios, such as chasing an enemy vehicle or racing to an objective.
